Business is terrible
Except its not, we like most of the antiques trade have seen many changes this year, changes happening quicker than usual.
Those of us who have done this for a while will recall, Libya bombing air bases, Iraq, foot and mouth, 9/11 and many other things, banking crisis 2007, Ukraine.
However things change we adapt to new markets and marketing, some of our furniture dealers have struggled not because furniture is not selling as the owner on Tuesday moving furniture around the 5 floors, but some just haven't either adapted their prices or perhaps as important their type of stock.
Don't think brown is out and paint is in, quality and value are in fussy large overpriced items are out.
Our smalls dealers are selling consistently well, in fact a thank-you email for selling so well promoted this blog.
Look , watch listen and learn, and above all adapt value and quality will always win through, which we all know antiques are.
