Adie and Lovekin, makers of fine novelty silver
Not much is guaranteed in life and certainly little in the antiques world however, one thing that is guaranteed. But if you have an item of Chester silver you certainly have at least a vintage piece as office or more correctly assay office close in 1962.
Chester was the assay office of choice of many a fine designer turned mass producer, not just Adie and Lovekin, but Charles Horner, Crisford and Norris to name a few.
Normally the later, tended to mix enamel and silver together. Which in itself is a skill and its actually not easy to get enamel to adhere to silver.
More often or not Chester silver does have that little extra hint of quality a bit heavier gauge a bit better manufactured.
