Antique Late Victorian Period Lovely Quality, heavy Gauge Sterling Silver Mounted pressed glass Perfume Bottle for a dressing table setting, of a good size and of a pleasing spiral twist pattern, the pattern to the glass body and heavy silver top matching in orientation so as to create a finished product.

The Perfume bottle features a hinged lid to the top with vacant button cartouche to the centre, traditionally reserved for engraving and personalising with a namesake Monogram.

Of an imposing weight at 267 grams or 8.58 ounces Troy the perfume Bottle stands 8.8 cm tall with a base diameter of 5.5 cm or 3.3 inches by 2.2 inches.

The perfume bottle is impressed to the inside lid clearly and to the collar (albeit somewhat rubbed from cleaning over the years)  for Birmingham assay office circa 1890 with the makers mark Likely for Joseph Whitten.

A Fine Antique piece In Original Condition more or less save that the bottle is missing its original glass stopper. the silver fittings have aged patination but will shine with a gentle clean and polish.
