Antique High Victorian Period Lovely Quality Vanity Jar In Reeded Crystal Glass finished with a bright cut patterned base mounted with a heavy gauge Sterling Silver Removable Lid which has been chase detailed with a fantastic intertwined spiral star within a halo gallery, the panels between each point of the star being foliate engraved and the centre to the star pattern being vacant so as to serve as a cartouche for engraving with a monogram, crest or similar.

In Overall very good condition there being no cracks or chips to the glass but there is a scratch to the body cover two of the reeds, this could be polished out however and there are no holes or splits to the silver lid.

The Flask with lid in place stands 8.7 cm tall and has a base diameter of 5.5 cm, the sterling silver lid is impressed to the underside with good clear markings indicating London assay office circa 1870 with the makers mark for Thomas White.
