Antique Late 19th Century Cameo Brooch in hand Carved Jet featured as the Bust portrait image of a Grecian lady in traditional Garb including a fantastic circlet to her head, beautifully detailed in three dimensional relief the Cameo is finished with gold hand painted accents and mounted within an Ormolu frame with hinged pin and clasp to the reverse, overall condition is good but there is a heavy ding to one side of the brooch frame (not outwardly noticeable when worn upon a garment) the cameo itself is in undamaged condition and measures 3 cm x 2 cm x 3 mm in dimension.
An unusual example of the period dating to around circa 1890.
