Antique Early 20th Century Post Great War, Rare Sterling Silver Novelty Bell in the form of an Early Victorian Lady in Bustle Dress, standing in pose with hands folded at waist she peers down with her hair in ringlets , the knocker to the bell features as the legs of the lady which are later secured via a ring so as to dangle within the bell chamber (bustle dress)and knock when shaken.

In Overall very good condition, a couple of small knocks to the bustle dress, noting serious the bell retains a pleasing aged patina to the silver and stands 9 cm tall with a base diameter of 5 cm, the hem to the bustle dress is impressed to one side with markings indicating Birmingham assay office circa 1921 with the makers mark for Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings of Bartlett's Passage, Holborn Circus, London, also present is the English Rd Mark correlating to year of manufacture to be circa 1921.

The Bell will shine with a gentle clean and polish and makes for a fabulous display piece within the home, it still being quite useable, delivering a lovely sound when rang.

The bell was likely a wedding gift or favour during the period.
