Antique Late Victorian period Nouveau Over toned Sterling Silver bowl of an Ornate design with mythical caryatid serpent like handles which terminate as leg supports for the bowl which is repousse worked with an open gallery of scrolled foliage, the bottom to the bowl is convex and closed gallery fluted to complete.

In Very good condition for age, there being no holes, repairs or or otherwise the bowl retains a pleasing aged patina but could be cleaned to a high shine if desired.
Standing 9 cm tall and with a bowl diameter of 12 cm the collar to the bowl exterior is impressed to one place with markings indicating London assay office circa 1898 with the makers mark DPFP.
A Gorgeous antique bowl, one that will serve for a variety of uses.
