Vintage Early 20th Century Sterling Silver Ashtray (or coaster) in the traditional style decorated to the floor with the raised image of a Rhode Island Red Chicken along with the legend "The Rhode Island Red Club" this piece being a collectible pertaining to the RIRC chicken breeders club during the period.
Finished with a turned pattern rim the item is impressed to the floor with good clear markings indicating Birmingham assay office circa 1935 with the makers mark for J.A Restall & Co of Cambridge Street, Birmingham, the item measures 10 cm in diameter and stands 1.3 cm tall and is in undamaged condition..
