Antique Late Victorian Period Top Quality Hand Made locket back Pendant in 18ct Gold featuring an Etruscan style, raised dais platform setting set with paved galleries of Turquoise.
In Excellent condition the locket is finished with a bale after the fashion of a coiled leaf stem chased detailed to the stem with a single oak leaf with the reverse to the locket featuring the locket back in the form of an oval, glazed picture window which is bezel set and removable so as to serve for when installing a desired image or similar.
The pendant is in superb condition for age and without damage or repairs, impressed clearly to the inner apex of the bale for Sheffield assay office (c1873 - c1892) along with the 18ct gold mark, dating this locket to roughly circa 1885.
The locket measures 4.3 cm x 2.6 cm x 7 mm in dimension and is ready to be worn, simply thread with a desired chain.
