Antique Edwardian Period Aesthetic Movement Locket in Sterling Silver, a handsome piece detailed to the lid in repousse with a superb layered scroll in a closed gallery finished with a series of banded galleries including chased floral work and serpentine bands, the locket is finished with a pierced arched wishbone bale and tapered bale which is impressed with the date letter 'F' for Birmingham assay office circa 1905, no other hall markings are present.
The locket is in generally good condition, no holes or damages to the lid, hinged opening runs well and the locket closes firmly shut without issue, there are a couple of small bruises to the reverse of the locket but nothing serious.
The locket when closed shut excluding bale measures 4.6 cm x 3.5 cm x 6 mm in dimension.
The Locket has a lovely aged patina to the silver but would polish to a high shine if desired.
