Vintage Mid Century Top Quality Scottish Sterling Silver Dirk or Bodkin Pattern Kilt Pin or brooch after an original earlier design in Pebble agate and silver, of a good size and nicely detailed with Celtic weave to the handle the brooch is in well preserved condition and undamaged also being intact to the reverse with hinged pin and clasp in working order, the brooch measures 9.5 cm in length with a width of 1.3 cm at the bolster, the reverse to the brooch is impressed with good clear markings indicating Edinburgh Assay Office circa 1961 with the makers mark for Thomas Kerr Ebbutt of St. Daivd's Square, Edinburgh.
