Antique Edwardian period Top Quality matched Pair of Kiddush Cup in Repousse Worked Sterling Silver, featuring turned feet and bulbed stems the body to each cup is finished with a stylised Adams Swag gallery including Lovers Knot crown, each cup is in superbly preserved condition and without damage or repairs and each cup is impressed with verbatim markings to the foot indicating London Assay Office circa 1905 along with the makers mark for Jacob Fenigstein.
Historically Kiddush Cups were (and still are) used in a blessing recited over wine or grape juice to sanctify the Shabbat and Jewish holidays but would serve well for other beverages including the partaking of Schnaps and Vodka.
Each Cup stands 7.5 cm tall or 3 inches with a diameter at the brim of 2.4 cm or 1 inch.
