Antique circa 1910 Italian manufactured top quality Micro mosaic lidded box in Enamel On gilded Bronze nicely decorated with applied filigree work to both lid and side wall of the body..
A handsome piece, Likely a tourist item of the early 20th century It features as a bombed squat cauldron With a hinged lid Which when opened, allows one access to the interior for stored contents Be it trinkets or pills and the like.
The box with lid closed shut Measures 4.3 centimetres in diameter or 1.7 inches With a depth of two centimetres or 0.8 inches.
Overall condition is very good for age. Somewhere present, including a small piece of pressed filigree work ,missing to the lid around the Micro Mosaic Cartouche. A lovely antique. Still very much usable.
