Vintage / Retro Circa 1947 Highly Collectible Pin Brooch for the Historic Passenger Liner the 'RMS Queen Elizabeth' a ship of the Cunard Line, first launched in circa 1939 and then drafted to Service during the War and a Troop Transporter, it not being until circa 1946 that the ship was returned to service as a Luxury Passenger Liner.
Manufactured in Sterling Silver with the image of the RMS Queen Elizabeth liner rendered in enamel on Butterfly Wing under Pressed convex Crystal glass the brooch is n good vintage condition and intact to the reverse with working hinged pin and clasp, present are markings to the brooch indicating Sterling Silver along with the made In England mark, also present is the pattern Number 220213.
The Brooch measures 2.6 cm x 2.2 cm or 1 inch x 0.8 inches in width and breadth and weighs 4.3 grams or 0.15 Ounces Troy.
The Brooch shows mild age related wear but is entirely intact making for a fabulous piece of collectible Nautical History as well as being a very wearable piece of Jewellery.
