Antique late Victorian period Top quality church services book, Leatherbound with gilt edged pages and ormolu clasp to the mouth of the book with the front of the book being mounted with a budded Ormolu cartouche central set with the Holy Cross and a stylized monogram for 'ihs' in both blue and red enamel.
The book opens to reveal a good clean interior with only minor wear present including spot foxing and mild sepia, there are no dog ears to the pages, rips or tears and all pages are intact, the first page to the book shows the printers namesake along with a hand signed legend indicating the date circa 1880 with the owner's namesake for 'F Buckland'.
A Handsome example of the period in original condition more or less, it being a well preserved example.
When closed shut the book measures 13.7 cm x 8.5 cm x 3.8 cm in dimension or 5.4 x 3.3 x 1.5 inches.
