Antique circa 1920's French Religious Icon featuring Mary with the Christ Child flanked by a duo of winged Cherubs, manufactured in silver plate on copper the icon is mounted to a carved green Onyx plate and finished to the reverse with an Ormolu plate fitted with a hinged easel type leg support so as to serve for when displaying, above the hinge to the leg support is a provisional Rung enabling one to also hang the icon from a wall if desired.
In Very good aged condition the icon in its entirety when laid flat measures 10.5 cm x 8 cm, the silver plated copper icon itself is engraved with the sculptors/manufacturers legend 'E. Rd Edit_r.
