Antique Mid 19th Century Very Rare Pure Nickel Silver Box (Likely a Pocket Snuff Box) by Alexander Schoeller of the Berndorf Metalware Factory based in lower Austria Hungary region Niederosterreich.

Of a traditional design with a floral design engraved to the lid on a turned pattern the box features a good strong piano hinge and is gilded to the interior, there are no dings or damages to the box, it having survived well throughout the years and is impressed to the lip with the Austria Hungary Eagle mark along with the Berndorf Metalware Factory mark 'BMF' and the assayers mark for Alexander Schoeller.
The Box when closed shut measures 8.5 cm x 3.5 cm x 2.5 cm in dimension, will benefit from a gentle clean and polish to shine again but is in otherwise original condition more or less.
