Early Vintage Top Quality and VERY Art Deco Flappers Sterling Silver Ladies Cigarette Case finished in Black Enamel to the body and a fantastic over-latch hinged clasp system detailed with a pave set Marcasite stones enclosing a mounted Amethyst Cabochon to the lid, the side walls to the box are finished with galleries of turned patterns and the box interior lemon gilded, the clasp system is a joy to use allowing one to open the piano hinged box lid for access to interior storage compartment which is without fittings so could also be used as a calling card case or similar if desired.

The Box when closed shut measures 8 cm x 5 cm x 1 cm in dimension and is impressed to the interior with good clear markings indicating London assay office import circa 1928 with the importers mark for George Stockwell of Finsbury Street London, also present is the 925  Sterling Silver Mark.
A Fantastic piece from the Deco era, shows only light age related wear to the enamel on the exterior commensurate with handling over the years.
