Antique Late 19th Century Meiji period Japanese Hand Crafted Bronze Figure of a Rat, (The Rat representing the ability to find food during times of hardship as well as being One of the Month of the Year according to the Japanese Zodiac).
Beautifully detailed this one piece crafted Bronze Figure sits in pose with tail coiled around its body, measuring 9 cm x 4.5 cm x 2.5 cm in dimension or 3.5 x 1.7 x 1 inches it is incised to the underside with the makers mark in Kanji.
Lovely aged patination the figure is in original condition more or less.
A Fine Antique Japanese Collectible as well as a wonderful display piece for the Curio cabinet or similar.
