Why does this table have 3 legs?
They are called a gypsy table, but in the more politically correct term of traveler table, might give the game away. As with milking stools a three legged item stool or table, will stand on uneven ground.
So this table which often came with an attached cloth cover and decorative fringe, was designed to be used on picnic and outside.
Amazingly this table will stand even a difference of many centimeters or inches and still stand try it and you'll see.
