When did you last do something for the planet
Most of us recycle, we certainly do at our Top Banana Antiques shop, everything is reused as much as poss and rarely actually thrown away.
We are fitting solar panels, seems madness that we are now suffering global warming and yet more of us with our own roofs or even ground are not adding more solar panels. We are told a 6 year return and any night time excess we produce will be sold back to the grid, saving even more pollution.
Buying antiques and second hand is a massive way to save money and the planet, really it is.
Of course highly likely a 200 year old item of furniture has been through 3 generations or more already, much of the quality timber used in furniture of the 1820s was made extinct then by over production never to return.
Let alone glass and china very expensive to make and produce and pennies in the antiques world and quality like you could find for 10 times the cost, let alone the real cost to the planet and that does mean you and me.
