What does bombe mean
Bombe yet another French word to describe a wide bottomed item, normally a box or chest of drawers, but can even be a side board or chiffonier.
Popular in the late 18th century and early 19th add a presence and an oriental hint, which was all very popular at the time with increasing imports from China and the European taste tending to embrace the oriental look and feel.
