Not everthing that glistens is gold
Traditionally through bad times gold has been the safe haven.
Antiques too if chosen correctly, are instantly tradable back into liquid and safe assets.
Choose good quality well made items in good condition, preferably items that cannot be replicated for the cost or indeed the quality, be wary of trendy fashion led items. Keeping an eye on the market too just as you would with any paper investment. Sometimes when everyone is selling its a good time to be buying and vice versa.
