Nailsea glass
Named after a town south of Bristol. Much like many items named after where they are made.
One would assume the proximity of the Bristol Channel, sand and no doubt Welsh coal. All made Nailsea the perfect place to produce glass.
Their trademark items were, glass of one colour with a rim or often a spiral of molten glass, of another colour. Famous for rolling pins that were often filled with salt, and used as safe transport of salt and use as easy viable ballast with some sale value. Often after using the salt the end were resealed with wax etc.
Bells, pipes, walking sticks and canes and rolling pins were their main item produced.
