An expression for the antiques trade, and very true if you don't keep feeding the sausage machine sales will dry up.
However maybe another expression is if you don't sell you swell.
By this we mean your stock will grow and grow and by default costs to service as space whilst of course extremely good value at Top Banana Antiques still costs and of course is finite i.e. you run out of space.
Of course the more cartridges in the shot gun the more clients you will please and sell to, but its important to keep stock fresh well presented on trend and priced according to current market conditions, and make sure whats currently hot and wanted is presented to client and whats a little bit less top of the pops is priced to sell and therefore sold.
