Following an almost 40 year employment in the civil service I had the opportunity to take early retirement in 2013. I have always had an interest in history and dabbled in buying and selling through a well known on line auction site.
Simply I extended this by buying at local auctions and selling at local fairs. Indeed I have organised a small fair in Saltford near Bristol for the last 10 years.
As my stock increased I took the opportunity to hire cabinets at Top Banana where I specialise in silver and take delight in finding , particularly older, pieces to display and sell. The searching of information about silver hallmarks is both enjoyable and rewarding as I found when I bought a highly prized Georgian Paul Storr cream jug in a job lot!
My items for sale are always clearly marked regarding history and price.
