Lighting Rarely Strikes Twice Or Even Thrice.

10 years ago we at Top Banana sold a Thomas Hope window seat for £1500gbp Finally, after various dealer had owned it, it ended up at a smart London venue and was sold for over £450,000GBP.

Just recently we've heard that one of our dealers had a small porcelain teapot, made in the US by John Bartlam during the 1780s..... It had seen better days, It didn't have it's cover anymore and some decades ago the handle had been broken off into a couple of pieces and stuck back on.

Having Owned it as a collector for some time she sold it for £15GBP.

Brought to auction at Wooley and Wallis Salisbury with an estimate of £20,000 online auction, it went for 23 times that!! £460,000GBP!!

It was purchased by a London dealer on behalf of the Metropolitan Museum in New York. Clare Durham, ceramics specialist, said it had been "very difficult to price" as there were only six other pieces of John Bartlam's porcelain known.

Besides these two great finds, You might recently have seen the episode of Salvage Hunters, The one where Drew Pritchard Visits us and buys the Howard chair for £1700GBP and made £4500GBP.

Needless to say what a great regular trade venue we are! We hope to welcome you soon and wish you Happy Hunting!
