Antiques are Green, well actually adding green makes them even greener
Almost any Victorian or antique vase or jug or even teapot add to the most modest bunch of flowers.
An old watering can or even old wellies can make great planters or even fountains, and collections of old pots or jardinières grouped make an instant display and cost often far less than the plants themselves.
Things such as copper that was once adorning people kitchens and sitting rooms now make great verdigris planters and display items often just mixing up height of items works brilliantly.
Ideally items for soil planting need to have a drainage hole, obviously not for a vase. Often for things short lived terracotta crocks in say a bottom of a tureen or china pot will suffice for short lived items such as hyacinths.
