Follow the signs to the new £5 room opened by Alex Hickman of English Country Antiques in the attic.
Amazing as things that are patently worth much much more are been sold literally for a fiver.
The other day I brought a coffee for a client from Starbucks, 2 coffees £9.75. One of our regular dealers brought £60 worth of mixed antiques from English Country Antiques five pound room and anyone could see a potential £300 profit.
Is he bonkers? I hear you ask?, no, simply he buy large job lots and houses calls, and the goods need to come and go even though he has huge space with the shear quantity of goods coming in 100's of items a week he has to keep in moving.
And move it he does, many many items worth £30 to £50 for a fiver, and some times more recently 2 sets of silver spoons were sold for yes you guessed it a fiver. A good item of glass yesterday c1840 slice cut centre piece for a fiver let alone his general decorative stock.
He is certainly selling the largest volume in the shop.
