Amazes me that most adds on social media for antique centres proudly show repro items
In fact the fairs organizers seem to be even worse, now actually there are lots of good antiques out there, but of course takes much more effort, to source than going to buy it new off a shelf.
We don't allow reproduction at Top Banana Antiques, we do welcome vintage but vintage with a je n'est-ce pas, i.e. not any old piece of tat that happen to be 5 years old.
Of course the real reason antique centres owners show repro items is they don't know, why because there are landlords not antiques dealers, unlike Top Banana Antiques where the owners have been dealers for a life time indeed 40 years.
Still working at the coal face searching out the real mccoy. Antiques for fun not snotty or reproductions.
