The new what upmanship, dealers quote "Gave my wife one & half million"
As a youngster we all hope to marry for ever, unfortunately many of us fail in that ambition, almost without exception the majority of successful dealers, do and will have to graft, and with that goes unsociable hours, long days and often much driving and sometimes even flying.
This is not a blog on marriage guidance but a back handed way of saying how well you can do, £1,500,000.00 plus £1,500,000.00 assuming one got half of the £3,000,000.00 not too shabby for an antiques career.
Not that antiques dealing should all be about money but its a pleasant by product of what we do.
Maybe one should aim slightly lower and try and work at a marriage sounds like the cheaper option, all work much much harder and not care!!!! As someone who has been around the trade and up and down the ladder of life, our wonderful business is hard to leave alone.
