No we haven't made a typo, this is the way the Georgians spelt champagne, I wonder if it might of been a find of flavour or vintage as feel little need particularly in c1820 to label a bottle.
Previously we have had barrel labels in pottery also mi-spelt. Just adding more charm and conversation to your dinner table.
Antique silver, silver plate and cut glass can often be brought very cheaply, glass is always great value and adds instant class to any table or food presentation.
