Antique Furniture

The use of Antique Furniture in any decorative scheme, will lift an arrangement even within a very modern interior, and provide interesting focal points.  The use of Sheraton and Hepplewhite pieces is great for a contemporary house as the scale of the later 18th century and then Regency period is good for modern living.  Here in Top Banana we have a good selection of Period Furniture from the Jacobean to Art Deco Bronzes.  Painted furniture is a good choice for a country interior, we have a few examples of decorative pieces from the 19th century that would be a key item in any room.  Also popular and fresh is the Swedish painted Gustavian style together with painted Scandinavian furniture in general.  If you live in a "High Tech" minimalist furnished space then older pieces can be enhanced with complimentary or more modern fabrics.

Pictured we have a couple of examples of furniture available at Top Banana Antiques Mall.  A very good large French Beech Farmhouse table with great warm tones to the wood that will comfortably seat 10 people.

Also a very fine Empire mirror which is unusually small for the period and will add drama to any room.

People can buy high quality, craftsman made Antique Furniture often for less than it would cost to buy their new equivalent and these pieces will hold or even increase their value over time while the deprecation on modern furniture is vast.  This definitely makes Antique furniture not only the more unusual, unique and decorative choice but also the smart choice.
