Antique Early 20th Century Good Quality Desk Inkwell in the Capstan pattern in very good used condition complete with original blown glass removable ink reservoir, a traditional styled piece featuring a wide diameter base, convex tapered body and hinged flip lid to the top which when opened reveal the ink reservoir for writing ink, as noted the glass reservoir pot is removable so as to serve for cleaning purposes.
The Inkwell is without damage, shows only mild age related use, this specimen being well over 100 years old now and still perfectly useable.
The Inkwell stands 3.5 cm tall and has a base diameter of 6.7 cm with the collar opening to the reservoir having a diameter of 3.5 cm.
A handsome example of the post Edwardian era, clearly marked to the body for Birmingham assay office circa 1913 with the makers mark for Henry Clifford Davis of Harford Works, Harford Street, Birmingham, England.
