Antique Mid 19th Century Top Quality Sterling Silver Creamer / Jug in Repousse Worked Sterling Silver, an ornate affair boasting a wealth of raised foliate details and a duo of recessed cartouches to either side of the bulbed body, one of which is engraved with a set of monogram initials featuring the letters 'CaP' in a scrolled font.
The Creamer features a traditional Grecian style beak for pouring and is finished with an applied scrolled handle and turned foot which is impressed to the underside with good clear markings indicating London assay office circa 1851 with the makers mark for David And Charles Houle, also present is the Duty Mark for Queen Victoria.
The Jug stands 13 cm tall and has a with from handle edge to body edge of 10 cm and a diameter to the body proper of 8 cm.
A Handsome antique piece, still perfectly useable, one that will serve for a variety of purposes including the display specimen flowers.
