Antique High Victorian Period Fine Quality pair of Sterling Silver Candlesticks in the Corinthian Column pattern finished with a beaded gallery removable sconce and bead lipped, stepped dais type foot.
In Well preserved condition throughout, the candlesticks being without holes, dongs, damages or repairs and pin clean throughout, each impressed to both the sconce and base for Sheffield assay office circa 1878 with the makers mark for Hawksworth, Eyre & Co of Nursery Street, Sheffield, also present is the Duty Mark for Queen Victoria.
Each Candlestick stands 13 cm tall and has a base width and breadth of 8.3 cm and a sconce diameter (to accommodate wax or tallow candle) of 2.3 cm.
A Fantastic example of the period, rare to find in this condition and still perfectly useable.
