Vintage / Antique Top Quality French Manufactured Cigarette case in Sterling Silver Adorned with a trio of banded Gold Panels finished with an engraved half nautilus pattern between which is a pin striped pattern to the silver enclosing both sides of the case.
The case opens and closes smoothly on piano hinge and is intact with spring plate push button to the mouth, the interior to the case gilded and intact with pierced bar retainer which features a sprung movement, allowing one to safely store ones cigarettes within, simply lift the retaining bar up for access to stored cigarettes.
The Case is in superb condition, no damages or repairs, just needs a gentle clean to shine again.
The Case when closed shut measures 12 cmx 8.6 cm x 1 cm in dimension and is impressed with good clear markings indicating French silver small guarantee mark with the makers mark 'GW' also are import marks indicating London assay office circa 1926 with the importers mark for George Stockwell of Finsbury Street, London.
