Antique Late Victorian period Ornate Fob Pin Cushion wheel which would have been used by Nannies or maids or similar,
of an ornate design, featuring a floral patterned, pierced and fretted chase detailed cage to either side of the wheel the fob is mounted with a hinged bale so as to serve for when carrying as a fob or chatelaine piece.
In overall good condition, the velvet wheel showing age related wear, nothing serious the silver cage and bale are impressed with the Lion passant mark for Birmingham assay office c1883 - c1899, dating this piece to around circa 1890.
The pin cushion wheel measures 3.2 cm in diameter (excluding bale) and has a depth of 1 cm.
