The Queen's South Africa Medal was instituted by Queen Victoria in 1900, for award to military personnel and civilian officials who served in South Africa during the Second Boer War from 11 October 1899 to 31 May 1902.

This is a great Queen's South Africa Medal with the South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902, Orange Free State, Cape Colony and Transval bars to the ribbons. Also being sold is th smaller dress medal with the same bars but in a different order on the ribbon. Made from sterling silver, both are in good order as are the ribbons, please see the pictures. To the edge of the Queen's medal it is inscribed "670 TPR. R. Rofe. S.A.C."

Size of dress medal 5.3 x 1.8 cm or 2.0 x 0.7 inches.
