Antique circa 1920's Very Art Deco Egyptian Manufactured Belt Buckle in Turned pattern Niello finished tin (or similar) with gilded adornments including gallery edge and four point set three dimensional figures including two Scarab Beetles and two Cicada, the centre of the buckle is convex square pierced and mounted to the centre with traditional hinged, double toothed bar so as to serve for when securing to a fabric belt.
In very good condition this unusual and rather unique belt buckle was likely a souvenir collectible obtained on a Grand Tour to Egypt during the period, manufactured locally at Karnack or Giza.
The Buckle measures 7.8 cm in diameter, shows light age related wear but is otherwise in undamaged condition.
Makes for a fabulous Deco collectible, still very much useable.
