Antique 19th Century Japanese Hand Crafted Suaka (Refined Copper) Pendant featured as that of a Bat mounted in Silver, beautifully detailed the bat has one wind folded under the other so as to 'Shroud', the extended wing being curled at the terminal creating a lug or hole, possibly with which to threaded a string, rope or chain so as to wear about the neck or indeed this piece being a 'Menuki' (Sword Hilt Adornment for a katana, Wakizashi or Tanto).

Measuring 5 cm x 2 cm x 7 mm in dimension or 1.9 inches by 0/8 inches buy 0.12 inches,  the 'bat' is in well preserved condition, has a lovely patination to both the copper an silver and is impressed with a foundry or makers mark to the reverse.
makes for an interesting collectible piece.
