Antique Early Edwardian period Top Quality Sterling Silver Lidded and fitted Perfume or Scent Bottle Come Flask manufactured in mouth blown glass, of an elongated squared shape the flask boasts a heavy silver collar mount with short piano hinged, flush fitting lid which is flat dome topped and finished with an engraved monogram in an ornate turned font bearing the letters 'EW', the lid to the flask opens firmly but smoothly to reveal an inset pressed glass stopper which can be removed to allow one access to stored contents within the flask which is in good clean condition
The Flask with id closed shut measures stands 7.8 cm tall with a base width and breadth of 4.1 cm or 3 inches by 1.5 by 1.5 inches, and is impressed to the collar fitting with good clear markings indicating Birmingham assay office circa 1902 with the makers mark for John Grinsell & Sons of Victoria Works, St. Georges, Birmingham, England.
In Excellent condition throughout, there being no cracks, chips or damages to the glass body of the flask and similarly the silver lid and fittings being without holes, dings or repairs it makes for a fine example of the period as well as still being perfectly useable, simply add ones own desired scent, would also serve well for bath oils and the like.
