Antique Georgian Period circa 1800 Wonderful, Primitive Water Colour Painting featuring the pencil drawn and hand painted and finished image of a Young Girl in a Gingham Frock Dress with Shorn hair (as traditional with the period) stood in pose and wearing black Mary jane style shoes and oversized stockings within a paddock setting and holding a Crop, likely a Pony Crop, the girl being captured by the artist as she was learning how to ride.
The Painting is in well preserved condition, realised on gauge card and mounted withing a wooden glazed frame with back board intact and as way of provenance to the reverse a period paper card with a hand written legend featuring the namesake of the subject within the painting as "Harriet Rippington".
The Frame measures 18.5 cm x 14.5 cm with the visible area of the painting itself having a measurement of 12 cm x 7.5 cm.
A Lovely example of the Georgian era it makes for a wonderful addition to any collection of original Period Art as well as being of a very quaint subject.
