Antique circa 1900 High Art Nouveau Sterling Silver Pendant with fitted chain, a gorgeous piece, the pendant featuring as a stylised Moth or Orchid in repousse finished with a terminal dropper after a lavaliere, the accompanying fitted chain is of a belcher and paper clip pattern complete with a barrel clasp in working order.
Overall condition is good for age but the pendant and fitted chain will benefit from cleaning as tarnishing is present.
No makers marks are present to the pendant, the barrel clasp however is marked 'SS' for Sterling Silver, it must be noted that at some point a new jump ring was added to the chain likely due to the original failing, the replacement jump ring is in base metal.
The pendant measures 4.3 cm x 3.5 cm with the accompanying chain having a total length of roughly 44 cm.
