Antique High Victorian period Lovely Quality, Rare Stilton Scoop presented in original leather Clad, velvet and satin fitted retail box with retailers namesake to the satin lined inside lid for Thomas Whip & Sons of 45 Yorkshire Street.
The Scoop is in well preserved condition, has slight wear to the turned handle in the form of a hairline but is otherwise in original condition more less, just needs a gentle clean to shine again.
The Scoop measures 24 cm in total length with a silver shaft including terminal length of 16 cm, the reverse to the stem of the scoop is impressed with good clear markings indicating Sheffield Assay office circa 1873 with the makers mark for Henry Wilkinson & Co of Norfolk Street, Sheffield.
The Accompanying Box for the scoop shows light age related wear, nothing serious.
