Vintage/Retro Original Watercolour painting on Gauge Card by the noted artist 'William Hyams' (c1878 - c1952) was traditionally a Landscape painter, born in Portsmouth, he spent his childhood in Guernsey and Studied at Brighton School of Art and subsequently settled there.
This fine painting is in well preserved condition and features as a Working Fishing Harbour scene during or just before or at the start of the Second World war, dating this painting to around circa 1938 - 1940, fully glazed and professionally framed it makes for a Wonderful decorators piece for the home signed by the artist W. Hyams.
The Frame itself measures 51.5 cm x 44 cm with the painting in its entirety measuring 30 cm x 21 cm.
The reverse to the frame retains stringing so as to serve for when hanging from a wall as part of a gallery.
