This antique oil on board portrait painting of a girl child from the Victorian era, circa 1850's, this small-sized artwork features a Girl child wearing a christening gown sat at a table and appears to be drawing or writing with a her flower to her side, captured in a very primitive Naive style the painting is mounted within a frame with old framers back board in place featuring the Windsor & Newton legend for materials used, in good condition and hand signed to the reverse 'HGCS - By HECS - about 1855'.
The Painting in frame measures roughly 16 cm x 16 cm, the reverse to the frame retains lug fittings to the sides but will need stringing so as to hang from a wall.
