The Queen's South Africa Medal was instituted by Queen Victoria in 1900, for award to military personnel and civilian officials who served in South Africa during the Second Boer War from 11 October 1899 to 31 May 1902.

This is a great Queen's South Africa Medal with the South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902, Transval and Orange Free State bars to the ribbons. Made from sterling silver, is in good order as is generally the ribbons, please see the pictures. To the edge of the Queen's medal it is inscribed "1014 TPR. F.J. JOOSTE. DRISCOLL'S SCTS."
