Antique late 19th century Rare example of a Cast Bronze Queen Victoria Golden Jubilee Plaque in her likeness that was made up during the period to serve as a mantle of Shelf ornament for the home, the reverse to the plaque having been hand mounted with an iron bracket and earlier period lions paw foot terminal likely salvaged from a clock base or similar.
The Plaque itself measures 15.3 cm x 12.5 cm or 6.1 inches x 4.8 inches and weighs 526 grams or 18.5 Ounces.
The Plaque has a lovely aged patina to the bronze as do the fittings to the reverse including Verdigris to the paw.
Dating to circa 1887 it makes for a Fabulous period Decorators piece, hailing to a wonderful time in English History, certainly one worth talking over.
