This regiment's of foot badge includes the Duke of Albany's title and coronet above a checkered patterned ball, flanked by Scottish thistles. The regiment was formed in 1778 as the 78th (Highland) Foot at Elgin and served with the British Army until the 1881 reforms when it was merged into The Seaforth Highlanders (Ross-shire Buffs, The Duke of Albany's). In good used condition with minor tarnishing.
